Get ready for the legal event of the year! The Jessup Competition, the world’s largest moot court competition, is back and bigger than ever. With participants hailing from approximately 700 law schools in 100 countries and jurisdictions, this event is a true celebration of international law.

Named in honor of the distinguished Judge Philip C. Jessup, a luminary in the field of international law, this competition provides a platform for aspiring legal minds to engage in a thrilling simulation of a fictional dispute between countries, as if before the International Court of Justice, the judicial arm of the United Nations.

Here are some key dates to mark in your calendar:

  • November 17, 2023: Deadline for team registration (Online Form and Payment) for all teams.
  • January 12, 2024: Deadline for submission of memorials.
  • January to March 2024: National & Friendly Rounds.
  • April 6, 2024: The White & Case Jessup Cup – World Championship Match. The International Rounds will be held, in person, at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Washington, DC.

Gather your team of two to five members and prepare to compete on the global stage of legal excellence. To participate, ensure you meet the eligibility criteria, including pursuing a degree or postgraduate qualification in law or related fields, representing an eligible institution, and not having certain professional experience that could provide an unfair advantage.
