Dear friends!
We are happy to share our excitement with you!
Thanks to your support, Nica.team has finalized its 2021 Law School Ranking and it seems that with this update it becomes the largest law school ranking in the world. Overall we analyzed more than 280 moot courts around the world with more than 1 600 law schools and 13 000+ participants over the last seven years. The main (and only) criterion for ranking is participation of law schools in moot courts. Like in a sport – only objective results count!
Some cool insights for you:
The top two lines of the ranking are taken by Law Schools of Singapore, namely: National University of Singapore (1) and Singapore Management University (2). Interestingly, NUS took a runner-up in Jessup, and SMU became a runner-up in Vis West. However, thanks to active participation in other moot courts they managed to overtake the winners of both competitions.
Four (!) law schools from India reached Top ten this year: National Law University Delhi (5), Symbiosis Law School – Pune (7), National Law School of India University (9) and West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences (10). India amazes even more with seven law schools in top 20!
Two law schools from Germany are also in top 10: Bucerius Law School (4) and University of Münster (6). Bucerius led the ranking for a couple of months after winning Vis West (great result!) and became the Law School that stayed on top of the Ranking of 2021 for longer than anyone else.
There are two US and two Canadian law schools in top 20 (Fordham University (8) in top 10) with the total of 108 US Law Schools in the Ranking – more than from any other country.
For students and coaches – please find your law school in Nica.team Ranking and share with your university administration! Moot courts significantly increase visibility of law schools and we stand for this to be acknowledged! Moot courters should have adequate support as they directly contribute to the success of their law schools by investing their time, knowledge and energy.
No surprises – Jessup and Vis West became two competitions with the highest number of participants.
Nica.team is in contact with many moot courts worldwide. We promote, inter alia, principles of transparency, fairness, and non-discrimination and encourage moot courts to make the information about their competition rounds public. We do not include in the Ranking moot courts that refuse to make their rounds/results transparent.
