After more than 100 mock mediation sessions, the University of Auckland has become the winner of the 17th edition of the International Commercial Mediation Competition of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC). 48 teams from 34 countries took part in the competition this year. Semi-finalists: the University of Auckland, the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro, ере University of New South Wales, and the University of São Paulo. The team of the University of Auckland (New Zealand) competed against the team of the University of São Paulo (Brazil) in the finals. It’s quite interesting that the University of Auckland also won the 16th edition of ICCMC last year.

During the ICC Mediation Competition, students representing 48 teams will compete to resolve international business disputes through mediation guided by professional mediators under the ICC Mediation Rules. Their performance is evaluated by some of the world’s leading dispute resolution specialists who participate as judges.
