Announcement: Clara Barton International Humanitarian Law Competition 11th Anniversary
The Clara Barton International Humanitarian Law Competition is proud to celebrate its 11th anniversary, inviting aspiring legal minds to participate in this exciting event. This competition, a unique, simulation-based, experiential legal challenge, is designed to provide valuable insights into the practice of International Humanitarian Law (IHL).
Competition Details:
- Eligibility: The Clara Barton Competition is open to students currently pursuing Juris Doctor (J.D.), Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.), or Master of Laws (LL.M.) degrees at law schools in North, Central, and South America. Students from outside these geographical areas may apply upon discretion by the Competition Committee.
- Competition Dates: Participants are encouraged to mark their calendars for March 22-24, 2024, as the competition unfolds in person at the American Red Cross National Headquarters in Washington, D.C.
- Application Deadline: Prospective participants are urged not to miss their opportunity to be part of this event. The application deadline is Friday, November 17, 2023, at 11:59 PM (Eastern US Time). Ensure that applications are submitted by this deadline for consideration.
- Participation Fee: Teams that are accepted to participate in the competition will be required to submit an additional fee of $1,000.
