All participating teams have less than a week to prepare for their oral arguments for the 2023 Fletcher Moot, which are scheduled to begin virtually on 18th February 2023.

The primary goal of the Fletcher Moot Competition is to assess the ability to apply key provisions of UNCITRAL texts in insolvency disputes, as the moot problem is based on a fictional case taking place in a hypothetical jurisdiction that has adopted the UNCITRAL Model Law on Cross-border Insolvency and the UNCITRAL Model Law on Enterprise Group Insolvency.

Participating teams should have two or more students, with a maximum of four students per team. These students are full-time or part-time students either of a first degree in law, including Juris Doctor (JD), or any postgraduate qualification in law below the level of commencing a doctoral program in the law school they represent at the Competition (to read more about the moot, access the rules of the moot from here).

We wish the competing teams the best of luck!
