The last day to send the requests for clarification is today. All participating teams are required to email the requests for clarification to the 15th Nelson Mandela World Human Rights Moot Court Competition steering Committee. Just a reminder that registration for the competition is still open!
This year’s moot problem focuses on human rights issues and is based on the rights enshrined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and other human rights instruments.
The moot competition is organized by the Centre for Human Rights, Faculty of Law, University of Pretoria, Academy on Human Rights and Humanitarian Law, American University, Washington College of Law, The Commonwealth Secretariat, and United Nations Human Rights Council Branch (HRCB) at the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR).
The participating team must have two students per team (gender diversity is encouraged). The students in the team also must be enrolled at the same law school.
The registration and the written memorials for the participants is due on 1st May 2023, and only 50 teams with the highest mark for the memorials are selected for preliminary rounds which is scheduled to be held on 20th to 27th May 2023. Access the full schedule of the moot, from here.
