The Deadline given to all participating teams to submit their memorials is 17th January 2023. If a team is unable to meet the deadline the late submission is a subject to a penalty. However, the final deadline for the memorials submission is 20th of January 2023. Teams which do not meet it will be disqualified.
The Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition is the world’s largest moot court competition, with participants from over 600 law schools. The team composition for this competition is of two to five students, who then prepare written and oral pleadings and argue for both the applicants’ and respondents’ side before a panel of three judges.
This year’s moot case involves a deadly attack in an allegedly occupied territory, where participants must interpret a peace treaty and have to look into unilateral economic sanction and the legal consequences faced due to improper disposal of hazardous waste.
